Saint Arnold Divine Reserve 11 a Double IPA was released yesterday and if you are like me, you bought dozens of cases, not to drink but to use to make furniture out of the beer filled boxes.
I did manage to taste a single bottle from one of the 4,123 cases that were produced from this batch. The taste and style rivals that of many West Coast IIPA’s including Stone Ruination, though slightly less bitter. If Saint Arnold can figure out how to price the beer for about $9.99 a six pack, a bit under the roughly $15.99 price tag most paid for this beverage, this would be a worthy yearly release from the brewery.
The sales of this rare release in the Divine Reserve series are fueled by Twitter and the infamous #DR11 hash tag. Eager beer geeks use social media to inform others where they might find this prized treasure. Those left out voice their frustrations and lash out at “hoarders” (people that hop form store to store scooping up every entire case possible) and ”scalpers” (people that buy cases and resale well above retail value).
BUT, for those that were unable to find the bitter elixir, I do offer you a consolation prize:

HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!
